Baboons invade home, guys videotape the chaos

Something we've long suspected has now been proven to be true: Baboons are horrible house guests.

Howard James Fyvie and some friends saw a group of baboons climbing through a top-floor window of an empty house in Betty's Bay, South Africa. According to the clip's YouTube description, the guys tried calling the police and the owner of the house. Fyvie and company then found a ladder and climbed into the house to see what they could do to help the absent home owner.

The baboons, as you can see in the video above, were everywhere. In the kitchen, the bathroom, hanging out on the furniture, you name it. Fyvie and company chased the baboons out of the house (no word on whether the guys went the extra mile and cleaned up after the animals).

It seemed to have all worked out OK. But yelling at and swinging brooms at territorial primates isn't something we'd recommend. Of course, neither is leaving a window open with wild baboons within walking distance.

In an interview with Right This Minute, Fyvie and friend Kyle Peters explain that the baboons did a number on the home, even going so far as to raid the refrigerator. Fyvie added that when he went back to his apartment and told his roommate about the misadventure, his roommate told him it was a stupid thing to do because "one baboon is equal to seven grown men."

Fyvie said he responded with, "Never tell me the odds."

Very Han Solo.
